(Castellano) Ecuador Reconoció a Palestina como Estado Libre e Independiente con Fronteras de 1967

El gobierno de Ecuador reconoció este viernes [24 Dic 2010] a Palestina como Estado libre e independiente con las fronteras de 1967, previas a la invasión israelí, informó la Cancillería en un comunicado.

La nota oficial señala que el presidente Rafael Correa suscribió este viernes el “reconocimiento oficial del gobierno del Ecuador al Estado Palestino como libre e independiente con sus fronteras desde 1967”, antes de la ocupación israelí.

“Este reconocimiento busca reivindicar el válido y legítimo anhelo del pueblo palestino de contar con un Estado libre e independiente” y “será fundamental para lograr mediante el diálogo y la negociación la convivencia pacífica entre los países de la región” de Medio Oriente, añadió el texto.
El pasado miércoles Bolivia oficializó el reconocimiento al Estado de Palestina como independiente y con las fronteras de 1967 algo que ya había anunciado que haría el pasado 17 de diciembre. Esta decisión se suma a la tomada por Brasil, Uruguay y Argentina. Chile por su parte expresó el pasado martes que estaba de acuerdo con la creación del Estado palestino.

Uruguay, por su parte formalizará las relaciones diplomáticas con Palestina a comienzos de 2011, con la instalación de una embajada en Emiratos Árabes Unidos.
