Ranking publicado no site da CNN Internacional no dia 21/Jan/2011 elegeu os povos mais afáveis do planeta.
O site da CNN elegeu as 12 nacionalidades mais simpáticas do planeta e citou os motivos que fazem do Brasil o lugar mais interessante e com o povo mais afável do mundo. No ranking, o país está à frente de turcos, japoneses, chineses, belgas, espanhóis e norte-americanos. O texto fala sobre a beleza do samba e do carnaval, sobre o futebol de Pelé e Ronaldo e as pessoas bonitas que circulam pelas areias de Copacabana. A CNN congratula os brasileiros pela simpatia e considera que com tantas coisas boas o Brasil tinha forçosamente de ser eleito como a nacionalidade mais “cool” de todas as pesquisadas.
Uma sondagem encomendada pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Turismo (Embratur), que entrevistou turistas estrangeiros em visita ao Brasil, no final de 2009, mostrou que para eles o melhor do país é o povo brasileiro, citado por 45% dos entrevistados. “O povo brasileiro é o maior atrativo que temos. O jeito de ser, a cultura e o estilo de vida do brasileiro encantam o turista”, salienta o presidente da Embratur, Mário Moysés.
Além do povo, os visitantes de 27 países também votaram nas Belezas naturais/Natureza (23%), Praias/Mar (18%), Sol/Clima Tropical (com 14%) e Diversidade (9%) como o que há de melhor no Brasil. “Esses dados são essenciais na definição de mensagens e de estratégias de promoção do Brasil no exterior nos próximos anos, em que teremos uma enorme exposição com a Copa em 2014 e os Jogos Olímpicos em 2016”, diz Mário Moysés.
