Truth From An Unexpected Source
“Why of course the people don’t want war. Why should some poor slob on the farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. Sometimes truth comes from unexpected sources. The above quote is one such example — how propaganda is used to manipulate public opinion and get ordinary, decent, people to support the criminal policies of their government.
Don’t be like the “good” Germans in Nazi Germany. Don’t be dragged along by today’s propaganda. “Islamic Terrorism” and “Terrorism” have replaced “Communism” as the West’s modern enemy of choice. The so-called war on terror is really an endless war by the U.S. empire for control of oil, other countries’ natural resources, and control of international finance and markets–all by military means.
Stand up! Speak Out for Peace & Justice!
1. Mourn all victims of violence.
2. Reject war as a solution.
3. Defend civil liberties.
4. Oppose all discrimination, anti-Islamic, anti-Semitic, etc.
5. Seek peace through justice in Hawai`i and around the world.

I agree with Mr. Jim Albertini completely.
Conflict cannot be solved by violence that brings, sooner or later, another conflict and/or violence. War (violence)on terrorism(violence)may lead people to “war on war” or “terrorism on terrorism.” Hate cannot be solved by hate. Hate can be solved only by love. Likewise, conflict can be solved only by peace(ful means).
If love is the answer for hate, peace is the answer for conflict. If love is the answer for individuals, peace is the answer for the world.
