Udaya R. Tennakoon – TRANSCEND Media Service

(A tribute to Comrade Sunila Abeysekara)

It is a tear drop
In the Indian Ocean
Justice is a drop
In the darkness heaven
She is a blue pearl
To the voice of rights

Closed her door
For an eternal sleep
Voice she made
Echoes in clouds
As a traitor
A rewarded image
May have suffered
Though she like it

Songs she sung voiced
Silent hearts waken
Even the enemy listens
Casting the name in cold blood

Gentle heart owns classless mind
Harmonized eyes seek
Beauty of the world
A legacy for the thought
From Revolutionary time
Selected field is in a hard time

Being a pearl in a tiny world
Projects the beams of rights
Having grasped from
The Transcend world

Tolerates the disgust and despise
Smiles the heart
May have hidden
The wounded pain

It is enough of learnt lessons
The death may have thought perhaps
She is gone and farewell to us
Deeds and thoughts her smile kept
