26 fev 2017 – Várias pessoas não veganas nem vegetarianas com quem conversei nos últimos meses me disseram que não gostam de saber o que realmente acontece com os animais explorados pela indústria. Acredito nisso, porém, encaro também como uma meia verdade. Não se trata simplesmente de não gostar.

Há muitas pessoas que evitam confrontar esse tipo de realidade porque sabem que isso pode tirá-las da zona de conforto. Têm receio de sentirem-se péssimas e culpadas. Esse apontamento não é feito por ninguém, a não ser por quem se lança nesse tipo de experiência.

Naturalmente, há boas chances de uma pessoa se questionar sobre a conivência e naturalização desse sistema exploratório. Claro, uma pessoa pode, de fato, não se tornar vegetariana nem vegana depois de aprender um pouquinho sobre direitos animais e veganismo, mas sempre existe a probabilidade de que algo mude em sua consciência.
