Analogy
JOKE OF THE WEEK, 27 Nov 2017

The following analogy characterizes the attitude of a typical Trump administration official in relation to the looming energy crisis.
A young man decided that he wanted to become a switching specialist in a railroad. He studied his trade and the time came for the final exam. The examiner asked him,
“Suppose from one side on a single track, the Los Angeles Unlimited is approaching at 80 miles per hour, and from the opposite direction the Topica Santa Fé freight train at 60 miles per hour. There is a shunt track, but it is not long enough to hold either of the two trains. What would you do?”
The young man thought for a while then said, “I would call my brother.”
“Why would you call your brother?” the examiner demanded.
“Because he has never seen a train wreck.”
