16 out 2018 – Se alguém tivesse me falado há 15 anos que chegaria um dia em que os brasileiros votariam em massa em um cara que não apenas vê a ditadura militar como um período lindo, mas que além disso fez apologia à tortura, disse que não veria problema em matar 30 mil pessoas para mudar o Brasil, e que homenageou o maior torturador da história moderna brasileira, eu nunca acreditaria. Juro mesmo.

Honestamente, não consigo ver da mesma forma diversas pessoas que votaram e vão votar nesse cara outra vez, ainda mais porque são pessoas que conheço e sei que sabem quem foi o Ustra e tudo que o Bolsonaro já disse a respeito do assunto. A tortura é inadmissível até mesmo contra os piores criminosos condenados à morte em países de “Primeiro Mundo”, vide Estados Unidos. Isso é uma prova de que devemos ser melhores, não piores. Inclusive sou contra a pena de morte.

Eu gostaria que essas pessoas que acreditam na violência como solução para os nossos problemas assistissem um filme do Werner Herzog chamado “Into the Abyss”, sobre a pena de morte, que me fez admirar ainda mais esse cineasta alemão. Não somos bárbaros para endossar tortura. Nada resta se assim como criminosos legitimamos o desrespeito à vida.
