Valentine’s Day

Dr. Ravi P. Bhatia – TRANSCEND Media Service
Enjoy, have fun this special Day
It is more special — it’s a Sunday
Go to expensive Hotels, Getaways
With your loved one, Offer Gifts
Hope that loved one does not become an ex
Hope that you also receive some Return Gifts
But what if you don’t have a beloved
Whom do you go out with
Whom do you offer your gift
Who will accept your lift
I have found a way out — a solution
In this Day and Age of pollution
Look for a forlorn lonely person
Ask if he/she will sit with you
Will they have some free time to share with you
They will smile — they have all the time
Only thing they don’t have, is a dime
Go out and listen to their stories
It will satisfy them more
More than what you offer
Berries or Pastries
Don’t worry if they don’t ask your story
Of broken love, longing and misery
You can always add a few lines to this poetry
