All around the world we have the COVID pandemic
We see people suffering and falling ill
Hospitals in many places are over full
No beds, no ventilators, no oxygen for the ill
Relatives, parents of ill children weeping, praying
These days even prayers are being ignored
So what to do — no hospitals, no reduction in COVID cases
Government trying beyond its capacity to ward off the tragedy
Today is Ram Navmi (April 21)
Festival celebrated feebly in pain
Lord Ram the epitome of Truth, Kindness, Compassion
O Ram, listen to the millions of prayers
Show us that you care, you love your believers
Come to this land that is full of pain and distress
Come to us, relieve us of our pain, love us and caress
You are the mighty Ram that was forced into long exile
But who did not forget the basic values of love and kindness
