O marigolds your beauty is simple
yellow petals from a seed,
who would have thought?
Can this be an ugly weed?
No, it’s a marigold blooming in spring,
Turning out like twenty-four carat gold
Ready to be put into a bouquet in time of need
Who would have thought the beauty of this yellow bead!
I sit alone and contemplate the beauty of the marigold.
So simple yet used in devotion.
With all wonders to behold.
This is the marigold.
Almost sacred, yet simple
Used for celebrations and times of mourning.
The simple beauty will keep the soul yearning.
Nothing can keep its petals from falling.
Back to its seed- the cycle is repeating.
The cycle of life begins transforming.
