The Hieronimus Show | Vedic Science – TRANSCEND Media Service
The focus of this Hieronimus interview is Sadaputa Dasa’s (Dr. Richard L. Thompson’s) book “Mechanistic and Nonmechanistic Science”, published some 15 years prior.
Thompson defines the soul (jivatma) as a “distinct quanta of consciousness”, and argues convincingly that this basic principle of life cannot logically arise from matter. Using as examples the sting mechanism of flatworms and the statocyst molting behavior of certain shrimp, he affirms the need for intelligence in some of nature’s more intricate designs.
