17 Mar 2025 – The Gestapo was the secret political police organization of Nazi Germany. Created in 1933, it became one of the most feared instruments of state terror, its members having few or no legal restrictions to their actions. The Gestapo arrested, interrogated, assaulted, imprisoned and executed hundreds of thousands across Europe ranging from Jewish civilians to allied prisoners of war.

The Gestapo sought out those officially identified as enemies within Greater Germany. These ‘enemies’ included Jewish people as loosely identified by the 1935 Nuremberg laws, Romani (Gypsies), Freemasons, communists, habitual criminals, homosexuals, and those with physical or mental disabilities. Other targets included those who used their position to speak out against the Nazi regime, such as priests and intellectuals–including doctors, civil servants and teachers.

Those identified as enemies of the Third Reich need not have been guilty of any specific crime and were rarely given any legal representation or means of appeal. In other words, any civilian considered a threat to the Nazi regime’s control could be rounded up, imprisoned, sent to concentration camps and executed without any reason given. Those who tried to defend the innocent were very often beaten, imprisoned or executed themselves.” See https://www.worldhistory.org/Gestapo/

In his first 60 days return to office, Trump has taken the following dangerous actions: He imposed numerous tariffs, eliminated tens of thousands of government jobs, tanked the stock market, eliminated government watchdogs, pardoned hundreds of violent insurrectionists, and pulled the US out of the Paris Climate Treaty and the World Health Organization. He has moved to silence journalists and restrict free speech. He says he wants to annex Gaza, the Panama Canal, and Greenland. He has bombed Yemen, cut off US aid to millions of poor people, while giving billions in arms to Israel. He said he wants to make Canada the 51st state. He has deported immigrants and migrants and shipped hundreds of individuals without due process–including to an El Salvador notorious hell-hole prison, defying a judge’s order. He has given the green light to Elon Musk’s wrecking ball actions to government agencies including education, agriculture, veterans, health care, humanitarian aid and environment. It appears that the US Gestapo is gearing up.
