How Are You on This Greying Day

Emanuel E. Garcia – TRANSCEND Media Service
How are you on this greying day
The winds push, all the sky a soft,
A pressing down – it seems so gentle
It might be a smile
As it takes our little breath
Your bare shoulder is no match
Much as I might kiss
Before we flee: but pause
Something’s howling sweet,
The territories of a tryst,
The moist trickle of memory
There were so many hellos,
Awkward dancing through the throngs:
I was tempted to snatch a scarf,
To follow the lines of another
After she turned her head,
It was more than wine
This ending day, how are you,
Let me lift your collar – there,
It goes so long, that path,
Down and far

Few poets write beautiful and evocative poems like this. This is just gorgeous.
