Let’s Speak PEACE: A Plea to All Language Users
POETRY FORMAT, 19 Feb 2018
Francisco Gomes de Matos – TRANSCEND Media Service
Let´s speak PEACE wherever we may be
by teaching one another peacefully the world to see
Let´s speak PEACE whenever we interact
by teaching one another to dignify every communicative act
Is it the language of languages we want to teach?
Let´s make SPEAKING PEACE the goal to reach
Let´s speak PEACE as the global language of serenity
by expressing ourselves through discourses of amity
When speaking PEACE, to one another let´s say:
“Wish you and your family a peaceful day today”
When speaking PEACE, in our religions for/of spirituality let´s pray:
“May sustainable peace in our homes/schools/workplaces/government offices stay”
When will all of Humankind learn to speak Peace?
When all forms of aggressive/violent language use will cease
Speaking PEACE will profoundly transform how multilingually to communicate
by showing how “LOVING ONE´S LINGUISTIC NEIGHBOR” wisely to cultivate
