Tarkovsky: “As pessoas que se aborrecem em sua própria companhia parecem estar em perigo, do ponto de vista da autoestima”.

1 jul 2018 – O que você gostaria de dizer aos jovens?

Tarkovsky – Eu não sei … Acho que eu gostaria apenas de dizer que eles [os jovens] deveriam aprender a ficar sozinhos e tentar passar o maior tempo possível sozinhos. Acho que uma das falhas dos jovens hoje é que eles tentam se reunir em torno de eventos que são barulhentos, quase agressivos às vezes. Esse desejo de estar junto para não me sentir sozinho é um sintoma infeliz, na minha opinião.

Toda pessoa precisa aprender desde a infância como passar tempo consigo mesma. Isso não significa que ela deva ficar [sempre] sozinha, mas que ela não deveria ficar entediada consigo mesma, porque as pessoas que se aborrecem em sua própria companhia parecem estar em perigo, do ponto de vista da autoestima.

Essa reflexão compartilhada em um cenário bucólico e quiçá onírico, assim como é recorrente em seus filmes, talvez seja a mais icônica de Andrei Tarkovsky, que como poucos explorou temas como solitude, solidão, incomunicabilidade – sempre com um singular viés filosófico. Filho de poeta, desenvolveu o lirismo muito cedo.

Tarskovsky foi evidentemente um dos maiores cineastas russos da história, mas ouso dizer que ele foi um dos maiores do mundo. Ingmar Bergman o admirava e o respeitava profundamente. Vindo de Bergman não é difícil entender a dimensão disso, já que ele tinha admiração por poucos cineastas.
