Irene Vella is a journalist and blogger born on 30 May 1970 who has become a television correspondent for national broadcasters. She helps people tell their story and makes words available to the most varied needs. Irene is married and a fulltime mother. On Instagram, where she loves sharing photos, she describes herself as: “Journalist, former correspondent Veneto Mattino5, Afternoon 5, Verissimo. My name is Irene, I collect emotions and turn them into stories.” Interviewed by DiLei, Irene explained the genesis of her wonderful poetry dedicated to the world in full Coronavirus emergency and which went viral in no time. “I was in my kitchen, sitting on the stool, I had just finished going around the garden to check the flowering of the trees. I was excited. I forgot the almost three weeks of voluntary quarantine, since my husband is immunosuppressed, and the mind started to fly…”
