Biden’s Foreign Policy May Be Disappointing & Dangerous

12 Nov 2020 – Is President-elect Biden a (gasp!) hawk?? I hope not, I voted for him. However, I respect the reports from these ex-CIA related guys such as a thought-provoking article in CovertAction Magazine by Jeremy Kuzmarov.
“Beware of the Hawk: What to Expect from the Biden Administration on Foreign Policy”
Regarding Biden’s foreign policy, if this assessment by Mr. Kuzmarov turns out to be accurate, we will have to anticipate that the Biden Administration may continue a reliance on militarism, secret operations, and economic blackmail. In short, the usual illegal international behaviors of American Empire.
If we are lucky, Biden will have an “enlightened” moment and try to do some good — like abandon US militarism in favor of a progressive foreign policy. This means that the US government and media will quit pretending that Russia and China (and Muslims) are “enemies.” Fake enemies insure a robust US War Business, but are bad for world peace.
If we are lucky, an enlightened Biden (& Harris) will mean moving away from US support of Israeli Zionism with its apartheid walls and violent theft of Palestinian homes and lands. It will mean cancelling the gold-plated F-35, and confessing that the US government’s nuclear weapon’s fetish is a deadly sin which must be abandoned before it’s too late.
If we are lucky, new Vice President Kamala Harris will prove to be a strong woman leader with wisdom and intelligence who will not be seduced by the macho mentality (“core masculinity”) in Washington, DC and the Pentagon which idolizes “strength,” and brags about being “the most powerful nation” on earth.
Their macho warrior calling card is the excitement of the potential for war, death and destruction. Put simply, America is, and has been, in the WAR BUSINESS. Donald Trump loved selling weapons of war to other countries. Congress happily gives billions of extra dollars to support the nuclear arms race which the US started.
If we are lucky, Biden and Harris will show some respect for the United Nations, and help us make the UN a democratic world body by supporting UN Charter Review – a peace activist campaign we are calling THE SAN FRANCISCO PROMISE reflecting the fact that the original Charter itself requires a review in order to identify and fix the Charter’s rather serious flaws which have prevented the UN from doing its primary job — ending the scourge of war.
A review of the Charter by the UN General Assembly can open the door to introducing the Earth Constitution to help the UN identify the present Charter’s fatal flaws, and to guide the UN toward becoming a world federal union, — a “new UN” designed with the tools actually needed to eliminate all nuclear weapons and to end war itself.
