Reinhold Niebuhr – TRANSCEND Media Service

Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can, and
Wisdom to know the difference.
Thank you, Lord.

The Serenity Prayer was written by the American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr (1892–1971). He composed it in 1932–33 and it spread rapidly, often without attribution, through church groups in the 1930s and 1940s. It was adopted and popularized by Alcoholics Anonymous and other twelve-step programs. Wikipedia

Isn’t that the prayer of Alcoholics Anonymous?
Always a good prayer–for greeting, ending, or midway thru the day! Obrigado, Antonio, for your inspiring and superlative work at TMS and elsewhere!
Dear Gary, indeed it is the prayer adopted by Alcoholics Anonymous and other self-help, 12-step groups.
And your kudos deeply appreciated. Sometimes they come handy…
Cheers!
Antonio
