The Penguin

Thought I will find you in the Antarctic
But there you are, in Africa!
All dressed up in your finest.
Black and white is the dress code.
Looking like your Highness!
You waddle with a wiggle.
You cannot fly, yet you can glide.
There’s no ice…
Only a muddy puddle
You really love to slide!
Are you a fish?
Are you a bird?
Perhaps no word.
This is what the Creator preferred.

A great tribute to these loveable living beings in this new year 2022.
A great consideration that Dr. Usha has even thought of this incredible animals on our planet.
Very nicely expressed in simple soothing words ,short and crisp that ideally fits the description of these penguins in cape Town where it exists even without snow is a truth that many do not perceive.
Very well written .@Dr. Usha Roopnarain
