(Castellano) Tercer Simposio Mundial: Los Humanistas Proponen Campaña Latinoamericana por la Reducción del Gasto Militar en la Región

En el marco del Panel Políticas Gubernamentales “Un nuevo humanismo para  la Nueva Civilización”, Tomás Hirsch, humanista chileno, planteó que, si bien los gobiernos están haciendo y deben continuar haciendo su parte para retroceder las inequidades, no lo pueden hacer solos. Es indispensable, afirmó Hirsch, humanizar la sociedad.

Desde esa perspectiva, es necesario transitar hacia democracias mucho más participativas, abrir las fronteras a todo ciudadano latinoamericana, regular desde la base social la intermediación que se produce entre empresas, sector financiero y gobiernos.  Por otra parte, es indispensable avanzar sobre sobre el Tratado de Tlatelolco promoviendo como prioridad la reducción del gasto militar.

Tomás Hirsch lanzó la propuesta humanista para trabajar en una gran campaña latinoamericana para la reducacción del gasto militar en América Latina y Caribe y reorientar ese gasto hacia la salud, la educación y la calidad de vida de nuestras poblaciones. Avanzaremos en esta propuesta y les invitamos a todos y todas a sumar a ella, concluyó Hirsch.
