13 May 2023 – As a background to the topic of this publication, it is worthwhile to highlight some examples of major “Peace Disruptions” affecting the globe, in recent history, as well as summarise the global developments, in the recent past.  Last week was an important period for historical and contemporary Peace Disruptions.  On 08^th May, 1945, the Second World War officially ended in Europe with the Victory in Europe (VE) Day is celebrated. The gross Peace Disruption related to the Great War, was the genocidal, extermination campaign waged by the Nazis in which Jewish men, women and children were targeted and exterminated in Death Camps, constructed specifically for this purpose by the Nazi regime. When it was realised that the genocide by Germany will be used as evidence against them, a new, specific operation was mounted. Under the code name “Aktion 1005” the Germans tried to cover all tracks of Nazi extermination policy in the east, by opening mass graves and cremating hundreds of thousands of bodies.  The code name had its origin in the file number 1005, used in the related correspondence by Gestapo chief SS-Gruppenführer Heinrich Müller. All units involved were given the name “Sonderkommando 1005” (special command 1005). The action was planned in early 1942 for three reasons:

1. The Allies had obtained knowledge of German mass murder.
2. The rapidly buried victims of mass shootings and gassings became a health problem. In Chelmno, Auschwitz-Birkenau , the Aktion Reinhardt camps, and other killing sites (Einsatzgruppen) the bodies were buried in communal graves. Very quickly, the authorities questioned this method of disposing of the corpses. Near the two first gas chambers in Auschwitz-Birkenau (Bunkers I and II) the summer sun caused the corpses to swell. The surface burst open, and a black foul smelling substance appeared, contaminating the ground water. The horrible stench attracted millions of flies, and the whole region suffered as a consequence. The same happened at several other sites, since the summer of 1942 was extremely hot.
3. The Nazis thought that future generations might not understand the mass killings.

This major Peace Disruption was ordered in March 1942, when SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich placed SS-Standartenführer Paul Blobel in charge of the Aktion 1005. However, its start was delayed after Heydrich was assassinated in June 1942 by Czechoslovakian SOE agents in Operation Anthropoid, but photographs secretly taken were smuggled out of the death camps with the fim hidden in tooth paste tubes and passed onto the allies.  Thus the gruesome Peace Disruption came to light when the allies defeated Germany.[1]

The official surrender of Germany actually took place on 07^th May, 1945, in Reims, France, where German General Alfred Jodl signed the unconditional surrender document on behalf of the German High Command.[2] The surrender was ratified the following day, 08^th May, 1945, which is when VE Day is celebrated. However, the peace treaty with Germany was not signed until September 2, 1945[3], when Japan also surrendered, officially ending World War II. While the exact statistics from the global peace disruption are not know, since the exact death toll from World War II is difficult to determine due to the scale of the conflict and variations in estimates. However, it is estimated that between 70 million and 85 million people died[4] as a result of the war, including both military personnel and civilians. The Soviet Union and China suffered the highest number of casualties, with estimates of up to 26 million and 20 million respectively. Other countries with high numbers of casualties include Germany, Poland, Japan, and the United Kingdom. After Armistice, there was a profound feeling of “Never Again”, yet presently, in the 21^st Century, the spectre of Peace Disruption resurfaces leading to regional conflicts, between Ukraine fighting a Proxy US War with Russia, with no peace in sight.

Wednesday, the 11^th of May 2023 marks the first anniversary of the targeted assassination of the female “Voice of Palestine”, Ms Shireen Abu Akleh,[5] an American-Palestinian Journalist working for the reputable Al Jazeera network in the peace disrupted Middle East.  On Sunday, 07^th May, 2023, a memorial mass[6] was held to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Israeli army assassination. The service, which was organized by the late journalist’s family, took place at the al-Liqaa Melkite Greek Catholic Church in the Beit Hanina neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem and was attended by her friends and colleagues.  While the family of the late journalist is continuously pressing for the International Criminal Court, pleas echoed as well by the former employer, Al Jazeera Network, to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to account and see that justice is done, the Israelis Defence Forces and the security apparatus continue, brazenly killing at least one Palestine a day in the occupied territory.  The international community, including the United States are conspicuous by their uniform silence on these acts of unbridled aggression and peace disruption caused by the Zionist state of Israel which acts as the police, the judge, jury, executioner, as well as the media justifying their sustained murderous activities and the world is turning, literally, a blind eye[7]. It is relevant to note that neither Microsoft Edge, nor Google could respond to the author’s search for “We couldn’t find any work results in All for Total number of Palestinians killed by Israel since 01^st January 2023 to 09^th May 2023? However, the response from Aljazeera Network, confirmed 122 during this period[8]. These killings generate gross peace disruptions.  More than 170 Palestinians, including at least 30 children, were killed across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem last year. In January 2023 alone, at least 29 Palestinians including five children have been killed.  The UN said that 2022 was the deadliest year for Palestinians since 2006, but 2023 is already on course to surpass that, if the number of deaths stay at the same level, and there is now the potential for a full-scale uprising among Palestinians, particularly in the wake of Israel’s new far-right government, which came into power at the end of December.[9] In another source, the Mena it is reported that 95 Palestinians killed in occupied West Bank by Israel since beginning of 2023: health ministry, by Qassam Muaddi from the West Bank, as of 04^th April, 2023.[10]

In 1998, Yasser Arafat proposed that Palestinians should mark the 50^th anniversary of the Nakba declaring 15 May, the day after Israeli independence in 1948, as Nakba Day, formalizing a date that had been unofficially used as early as 1949.  On 15^th May 2023, the Nakba Day will be great mourned by Palestinians and justice minded humans, in Israel and the rest of the world, not influenced by Israelcentric media and propaganda as a real day of an unfolding human catastrophy,  This is born out by over 222 deaths  of  civilian, Palestinian women children and elderly men during the past week of incessant bombing of Gaza with American F16 jets launching Smart Bombs[11], which detonates in stages, killing innocent civilians, whose only sin is that they were born Palestinians and occupy the land that the Zionist nations, wants extremely badly to house the miscreant settlers.  Needless to note that the President of the Europen Union, European Commission, President Ursula von der Leyen, who was patronising the apartheid state of Israel after she received an honorary doctorate from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beersheba, southern Israel, on June 14, 2022.[12]

Other global peace disruptions, as developing stories, include the demolition of houses of Palestinian[13], who have been arrested, the new civil war in Sudan[14], the sectarian riots and killings in Manipur in India.[15] These riots classified as Institutionalized Riot Systems (IRS) is a term coined by Paul Brass in 2004 in his book “The Production of Hindu-Muslim Violence in Contemporary India with regards to the Indian Politics”[16]. This term explains the dramatic production of riots, which Paul Brass has divided into three phases: preparation, activation and explanation and is a major pattern of peace disruption in Hindu-Muslim riots, orchestrated by politician affiliated with Narendra Modi’s BJP[17], the ruling party, in order to promote a nationalistic fervor and capitalize on the mantra “India for Hindus”. Paul Brass explains that it is because of this system that Hindu-Muslim riots in India often turned into pogroms and massacres of Muslims, in which few Hindus are killed. Most often, the principal beneficiaries of this process are the government and its political leaders.  On 06^th May, 2023, a mass shooting occurred at Allen Premium Outlets, an outlet center in Allen, Texas, United States[18]. Nine people were killed, including the perpetrator, who was shot by a police officer already in the area on an unrelated call. Seven were injured. Children were among the 8 people killed in this mall shooting.[19]  The gunman was wearing an insignia that authorities believe may be associated with extremist groups. The user posted writings approving of Nazi ideology, shared images of his firearms and uploaded a photo of the mall in the weeks before the shooting.

The peace disruption is also exemplified by the massive climate changes affecting Democratic Republic of Congo, where, reportedly, more than 400 have died, in the recent floods[20],  On the heels of an unprecedented heatwave that left hundreds of dead in British Columbia, Canada’s westernmost province is now battling a fresh threat.  More than 100 wildfires are burning across the province the heat waves in Canada causing wild forest fires[21], the driest and highest ambient temperatures caused by the heat wave in Spain, which is feeling the impact of the climate crisis and it is fighting back.[22]  The flooding and landslides in Pakistan[23], New Zealand had a rough commencement to 2023 with numerous disasters hitting the island just six weeks into the year.

An earthquake, described as ranging from 5.7 to 6.3 magnitude, struck off the coast of New Zealand early evening on 15^th February 2023. No damage was reported. There was also the extensive flooding to the accompaniment of cyclone Gabrielle. In New Zealand [24] and first the migrant caravan of 2023 from southern Mexico,[25] heading towards United States and the list of human made as well as the  climate change peace disruptions, go on.

Based on the aforementioned background, this publication discusses the strategies proposed and used to combat peace disruption. The author has written extensively on peace protagonists[26], [27], [28], [29]as well as causes of peace disruption. In his previous paper, the author also argues if religions are the cause of global peace disruption[30].

It is also relevant to define peace in its multiple forms having an influence on humanity, in general.  Peace can be defined as a state of harmony characterised by the absence of conflict or disturbance. It is a condition of calmness, tranquility, and freedom from fear, anxiety, terror or stress.  Peace can refer to both external and internal states. External peace refers to the absence of war, violence, or social unrest between individuals, communities, or nations. Internal peace, on the other hand, refers to a state of calmness and tranquility within oneself, which can be achieved through meditation, mindfulness, or other practices that promote mental and emotional well-being often associated with and facilitated by any religion, including that of the Satanic cults, followed by the modern-day human beings.  Therefore, peace is a state of being that is characterised by harmony, calmness, and absence of conflict or disturbance, whether that be on an external or internal level.

Intrinsic peace refers to a deep and lasting sense of peace that comes from within a person, regardless of external circumstances or situations.  It is endogenous and it is a state of inner calmness and tranquility that is not dependent on external factors, such as wealth, power, or success. Therefore, there are no external material factors responsible for the inherent presence of calmness. Intrinsic peace is often associated with spirituality and personal growth. It can be achieved through practices such as meditation, prayer, or self-reflection, and it involves developing a strong sense of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and connection with something greater than oneself, such as the ethereal and or divine.  When a person experiences intrinsic peace, they may feel a sense of contentment and fulfillment in their lives, even in the midst of difficult or challenging situations, such as poverty, tragedy, oppression, tyranny as well as in the face of immense natural disasters. These individuals are of such a higher level of mental and physical evolution that they are able to maintain a sense of inner calmness and balance, which can help them cope with stress, anxiety, or other negative emotions, as well as difficult personal and environmental circumstances. These challenges would not be tolerated by an ordinary mortal, encountering similar external trials and tribulations.  Intrinsic peace is often seen as a desirable state of being, as it can bring about a sense of purpose, meaning, joy and stability in life, especially in a collective, peace disruptive environment, anywhere in the world.

According to Johan Galtung[31], peace should be built after the problems caused by structural violence are eliminated, so positive peace should be targeted, not negative peace.  Galtung further expands on his ideas of positive and negative peace by linking them to peace making, peacekeeping and peacebuilding, which are as follow[32]:

• Peace-making: refers to making peace by directly stopping violence
• Peacekeeping: keeping the peace that has been made by preventing violence from starting up again and disrupting the peace
• Peacebuilding: creating long lasting peace by deep changes in society by supporting institutions and ensuring the community needs are being met, that way resolving and eliminating the original causes of violence.

Furthermore, to understand the treatment strategies to counteract Peace Disruption, to restore the entity of calmness, can be categorised into the following different types of peace

1. Negative peace refers to the absence of violence, conflict, or war. It is the most basic and fundamental form of peace, which seeks to eliminate the root causes of conflict and prevent the outbreak of violence.
2. Positive peace goes beyond the absence of violence and seeks to create a society that is just, equitable, and sustainable. Positive peace addresses the root causes of conflict, such as poverty, inequality, discrimination, and environmental degradation, and aims to build a peaceful and resilient society.
3. Structural peace refers to the creation of institutions, policies, and frameworks that promote peace and prevent the outbreak of violence. It involves building a system of governance, justice, and human rights that is fair, transparent, and inclusive.
4. Personal peace is an inner state of being that is characterised by a sense of calmness, contentment, and fulfilment. It is a state of mind that is not easily disturbed by external circumstances or situations, and involves developing a strong sense of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and inner harmony. Intrinsic peace is often used interchangeably with personal peace, as both refer to a deep and lasting sense of peace that comes from within oneself.  Intrinsic peace refers to a state of inner calmness, tranquillity, and contentment that is not dependent on external circumstances or situations. It involves developing a strong sense of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and connection with something greater than oneself, such as spirituality, nature, or a sense of purpose. Personal peace, on the other hand, is a more general term that can refer to any form of inner peace or tranquillity that a person may experience. It can involve a range of practices, such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga, or other forms of self-care and personal growth.  Albeit intrinsic peace and personal peace are closely related, as they both involve developing a sense of inner calmness and balance that can help a person cope with stress, anxiety, or other negative emotions.  Intrinsic peace refers to an individual’s inner sense of calm, contentment, and harmony with oneself and the world around them. It is a state of being that is not dependent on external circumstances, but rather on one’s own internal resources and sense of well-being. Intrinsic peace is important for personal growth and development, as well as for building healthy relationships and communities.  Females in third world countries often face significant challenges that can disrupt their sense of intrinsic peace. Poverty, lack of access to education and healthcare, gender discrimination, and violence against women are just a few examples of the obstacles that women in these countries may face. These challenges can have a profound impact on women’s physical and emotional well-being, as well as on their ability to achieve their goals and participate fully in their communities.  In many cases, women in third world countries are the primary caregivers and breadwinners for their families. This means that when women are not able to achieve their full potential or participate fully in their communities due to external challenges, the entire family and community can suffer as well. Therefore, promoting intrinsic peace for women in third world countries is not only important for individual women’s well-being, but also for building strong, healthy, and peaceful communities.

There are several remedial measures that can be implemented to overcome the setbacks in intrinsic peace experienced by females in third world countries.

• Education: Providing girls with access to education can help to empower them and give them the knowledge and skills they need to become leaders and change agents in their communities. Education can also help to challenge cultural norms and stereotypes that perpetuate gender inequality. Emeritus Surya Nath Prasad offers solutions to peace in general though “Peace Education”[33]
• Economic empowerment: Giving women access to economic opportunities, such as through microfinance programs, can help to increase their income and financial independence. This can also give them more bargaining power within their families and communities.
• Legal reforms: Enacting laws that protect women’s rights and hold perpetrators of gender-based violence accountable can help to create a more just and equal society.
• Support services: Providing women with access to health care, counselling, and other support services can help them to cope with the physical and psychological effects of violence and trauma.
• Advocacy and awareness-raising: Raising awareness about the importance of gender equality and advocating for the rights of women and girls can help to create a more supportive environment for women to thrive and overcome the setbacks to their intrinsic peace. Addressing the setbacks in intrinsic peace experienced by females requires a comprehensive and coordinated approach that involves the government, civil society, and international organizations.

5. Social peace refers to the creation of a peaceful and harmonious society, where individuals and communities can live together in dignity, respect, and cooperation. It involves building bridges of understanding and empathy between different groups, promoting social inclusion and cohesion, and addressing the root causes of social conflict.

These categorisations are not mutually exclusive, and there can be overlap between them. However, they provide a useful framework for understanding the different dimensions of peace and the various approaches that can be taken to promote it.

It is a realisation, that cultural and social norms in some parts of the world make it challenging to implement remedial measures to overcome the setbacks in intrinsic peace experienced by females. However, it is important to recognize that change is possible, and progress can be made through a combination of grassroots efforts, education, and advocacy.  One approach is to work within communities and engage with local leaders, religious figures, and educators to promote gender equality and empower women and girls. This can involve promoting girls’ education, providing vocational training and job opportunities for women, and advocating for laws and policies that protect women’s rights.  In addition, international organizations and governments can provide support and resources to local organizations and activists working to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. This can include funding for programs and initiatives that promote women’s rights, as well as diplomatic pressure on governments that fail to protect the rights of women and girls.  It is important to note that change may not happen overnight, and progress may be slow and incremental. However, by working together and supporting efforts to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment, we can create a more just and peaceful world for all.

In addition, after abolition of slavery and serfdom in 1833 by Britain, France in 1848 and 1865 in the United States[34], the ideology of human, physical exploitation for the benefit of a master,  was replaced by the Indentured Labourer System [35]by Britain in 1860. Human trafficking and sex slavery contributed to peace disruption in multiple ways. First, it violates human rights and undermines the dignity and security of individuals, especially women and children. It perpetuates a culture of exploitation and oppression, leading to social unrest and conflict. Additionally, the organized nature of human trafficking often involves criminal networks and corrupt government officials, further weakening the rule of law and contributing to systemic corruption.   In order to combat human trafficking and sex slavery, several remedial measures can be implemented:

• Countries should establish strong legal framework and regulations to combat human trafficking, as well as provide protection to victims. These laws should be enforced through effective prosecution and punishment of traffickers and corrupt officials who enable it.
• Survivors of human trafficking should be provided with total support, including access to healthcare, education, and vocational training. This can help them reintegrate into society and rebuild their lives.
• Raising public awareness campaigns can help to educate communities about the dangers of human trafficking and how to identify and report suspected cases. This can be achieved through education campaigns in schools, the media, and other public spaces.
• Human trafficking is a transnational issue that requires international cooperation and collaboration. Countries can work together to share information, resources, and best practices, and to hold each other accountable for their efforts to combat human trafficking.

Addressing human trafficking and sex slavery can be challenging, especially in societies where these practices are deeply entrenched. However, by taking a comprehensive and collaborative approach, progress can be made towards combating these issues and promoting peace and security.  While there may not be a specific transnational mafia responsible for peace disruption, the issue of human and sex trafficking can have significant impacts on peace and stability in affected countries. This is because human trafficking often involves the exploitation of vulnerable individuals, including women and children, for the purposes of forced labor, sexual exploitation, and other forms of abuse. These activities can lead to a breakdown in social cohesion and trust, increased levels of crime and corruption, and other factors that contribute to instability and conflict.  Furthermore, human and sex trafficking often involve criminal networks that operate across national borders, which can make it difficult for law enforcement agencies to effectively combat these activities. In some cases, these networks may have links to other forms of organized crime, such as drug trafficking or money laundering, which can further exacerbate the situation.

To address these issues, there is a need for coordinated international efforts to combat human and sex trafficking, including increased support for law enforcement agencies and greater efforts to raise awareness of the issue and promote prevention measures. This may involve measures such as strengthening legal frameworks to combat trafficking, providing support services for victims, and increasing cooperation between countries to track and disrupt trafficking networks.

The main pillars of remedial strategies for peace disruption, include:

• Conflict resolution and mediation: This involves negotiating and mediating between conflicting parties to resolve disputes and establish peaceful coexistence.
• Reconciliation and forgiveness: Encouraging reconciliation and forgiveness among those involved in conflict can promote healing and a sense of unity, leading to long-term peace.
• Strengthening democratic institutions: Strengthening democratic institutions, including government, civil society, and the rule of law, can promote stability and reduce the likelihood of future conflicts.
• Economic development and poverty reduction: Reducing poverty and promoting economic development can help address underlying issues that contribute to conflict, such as inequality and competition for resources.
• Education and awareness: Educating people on the causes and consequences of conflict, as well as promoting awareness of cultural diversity and tolerance, can promote peaceful coexistence and prevent future conflict. In case of the strategies suggested by Emeritus Professor Surya Nath Prasad, using Peace Educations as a remedy for peace, it is interesting that he uses examples practised by religious men from each, major religion in history, as solutions to his proposals[36], as an education for mortals.
• Human rights and social justice: Addressing human rights abuses and promoting social justice can reduce grievances and prevent conflict, as well as promote healing and reconciliation.
• International cooperation: Encouraging cooperation between countries and international organizations can help resolve conflicts, promote economic development, and address global issues that contribute to conflict, such as climate change and resource depletion.

The Bottom Line is that the greatest Peace Disruptor for the Palestinians is the Balfour Declaration of 1917[37]  It. was a public statement issued by the British government during World War I announcing support for the establishment of a “national home for the Jewish people” in Palestine. This declaration was made without consulting the indigenous Palestinian population, and it led to the dispossession and displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homes and land. This remains a source of ongoing conflict and tension in the region, to date, and even in the past week this act of 1917 is the cause of oppression, discrimination, imprisonment and even death of Palestinian activists like Adnan who died in an Israeli jail after 86 days of starvation, without receiving medical attention, even upon the recommendation of Israeli physicians.  Adnan’s death has triggered off a new wave of ethnic cleansing by Israel of the Palestinians.  It is not about Islam, nor about Christianity, but it is about the treatment of Palestinians as members of humanity, which the Israeli government is bent on annihilating an ideology, and causing such appalling living conditions for them, that they either emigrate to neighbouring Jordan or are killed by the Israeli Defence Force.

As far as the Jewish nation is concerned, the greatest Peace Disruptor was the Holocaust.  In 2016, His Holiness, Pope Francis visited the former Nazi death camp of Auschwitz[38], keeping a near-total silence to honour the more than 1 million people, almost all of them Jews, who were systematically killed there during World War II. He said a few quiet words to a group of survivors of the concentration camp in Nazi-occupied Poland, and wrote the following message in Spanish: “Lord, have mercy on your people. Lord, forgive us for so much cruelty.” The visit was intended to be quiet and sombre. He told the media before arriving that he “would like to go to that place of horror without speeches, without crowds,” as The New York Times reported. He wanted to go “alone, enter pray. … And may the Lord give me the grace to cry.”  As reporters looked on, the pope passed alone under the infamous sign at the camp entrance that bears the words “Arbeit Macht Frei,” or “Work Sets You Free.”

“This site bore witness to the most systematic, industrialized atrocity in the history of humanity,” Rabbi David Rosen of the American Jewish Committee, who was with the pope during the visit, told the Times. “In such a place, words are inadequate and it’s silence that becomes the ultimate expression of solidarity with the victims.”  Pope Francis Francis spent time praying at the cell of Polish Conventual Franciscan Friar Maximilian Kolbe, who offered up his life to save that of another. Reuters writes that:

“On July 29, 1941, the camp director, in reprisal for the escape of a prisoner, chose 10 others and sentenced them to death by starvation. When the selection was completed, Kolbe stepped forward and volunteered to die in place of one of them, Franciszek Gajowniczek. Kolbe was later killed by lethal injection but the man he saved survived the war. He was made a saint in 1982 by then-Pope John Paul II, a Pole.”

Francis later went to nearby Birkenau, where the Nazis used gas chambers to kill en masse, and greeted 25 Christian Poles “who risked their own lives to help Jews during the German occupation of their country during World War II,” The Associated Press reported.

The quiet, contemplative nature of the Pope’s visit was markedly different from those of his two most recent predecessors, both of whom had direct personal ties to the Holocaust and gave public remarks. As the AP explained:

“St. John Paul II, born in Poland, witnessed the unspeakable suffering inflicted on his nation during the German occupation during the war. His successor, Pope Benedict XVI, who visited in 2006, was a German who served in the Hitler Youth for a time as a teenager.”

There are several reasons for the unwavering support of Israel by certain countries, particularly the United States. Some of these reasons include:

• Religious beliefs: Many Christians and Jews believe that Israel is a holy land and that the Jewish people have a divine right to it. This belief is based on various passages in the Bible, including the Old Testament.
• Strategic interests: Israel is a strategic ally in the Middle East and has helped the US and other Western countries with intelligence sharing, military cooperation, and counter-terrorism efforts.
• Shared values: Israel and Western countries share many democratic and liberal values, including freedom of speech, the rule of law, and human rights.
• Holocaust guilt: The atrocities committed against Jews during the Holocaust led to an international consensus that the Jewish people deserved a homeland where they could be safe from persecution.
• Lobbying and influence: Pro-Israel lobbying groups and individuals in the US and other countries have worked to maintain strong ties between Israel and their governments, often through campaign contributions and other forms of political influence.
• Infiltration by Israeli agents: Many democratic countries, such as South Africa and others, have been infiltrated, at the level of government operations and in national religious organisations to literally spy on the workings of these institutes.  Often corrupt officials, even at high levels are paid informers of the CIA, MI6 and Mossad. This infiltration even happened at the level of airport security for El Al Airlines from OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg South Africa.  Incidentally, this was front page headline, in Sunday print media in South Africa, some years ago, but all references are non-existent in the commonly used search engines, when the author searched for this story.

The justification used when such activities are exposed, is that these views are anti-Semitic and are brushed aside, as such. However, not all countries support Israel to the same degree, and there is ongoing debate and controversy surrounding Israel’s policies towards Palestinians and other issues.

There are many factors that are currently threatening global peace, including:

• Racism[39], [40]: This is a major threat to peace. It can lead to discrimination, hatred, and violence, and can create tensions between different racial and ethnic groups. Racism can also fuel conflicts between nations and communities, leading to wars and other forms of violence. Therefore, promoting equality, tolerance, and understanding among people of different races and ethnicities is important in maintaining peace and stability.
• Conflict and wars: Armed conflicts between nations or within nations are one of the most significant threats to global peace. The war in Ukaraine, fuelled by United States, European Union and the United Kingdom.  The forced siding by the west adds to the peace disruption between the East and West, Islam and Judaism with Christianity  and between the “Brics and the Non-Brics”[41].
• Terrorism: Acts of terrorism can create fear and insecurity and cause significant harm to innocent people.
• Nuclear weapons: The possibility of nuclear weapons being used, whether intentionally or accidentally, poses a significant threat to global peace.
• Cybersecurity: As technology continues to advance, cyber-attacks on critical infrastructure, government institutions, and businesses could cause significant disruption and harm.
• Climate change: Climate change can lead to resource scarcity, displacement of people, and increased tensions between nations over access to resources.
• Poverty and Economic inequality: Economic inequality, both within and between countries, can lead to social unrest and instability.
• Nationalism and populism: The rise of nationalist and populist movements can lead to increased tensions between nations and groups, potentially leading to conflict.
• Internal Displacement and Mass exodus of the 21^st This is seen in the Latin American Countries, Affrica, Middle Eat and Myanmar.

These are just some of the immediate threats to global peace, and there are many other factors that can contribute to instability and conflict.

Genocide has been a tragic part of human history for centuries, and many countries have been involved in such atrocities. Some of the countries that have been involved in genocide in antiquity and more recent times:

Antiquity:

• Assyria
• Carthage
• Macedonia
• Persia
• Rome
• Sparta

Recent times:

• Bosnia and Herzegovina
• Cambodia
• Germany (during the Holocaust)
• Indonesia (East Timor)
• Iraq (Anfal campaign)
• Myanmar (Rohingya genocide)
• Rwanda
• Sudan (Darfur)
• Syria
• Turkey (Armenian genocide)
• Uganda (Idi Amin regime)
• Yugoslavia

However, this is not an exhaustive list and that genocide has unfortunately occurred in many other countries throughout history.

Ultimately, a peaceful and just resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will require dialogue, compromise, and a commitment to human rights and international law from all parties involved.  There are, however, several reasons for the unwavering support of Israel by certain countries, particularly the United States. This is causing great Peace Disruption. The author proposes that if United States and some other countries cease to support Israel, in a biased and prejudice manner, against Palestinians, then Israel will not engage in the targeted assassination of journalists, murder of children, youth and civilians, with great impunity, unaccountability and arrogance. There will be accountability resulting in peace, as a solution.  Some of these reasons for the ongoing global support of Israel include:

• Religious beliefs: Many Christians and Jews believe that Israel is a holy land and that the Jewish people have a divine right to it. This belief is based on various passages in the Bible, including the Old Testament. However, they are unaware that the Islamic Quran also includes Jews and Christians as “People of the Book” [42]
• Islamophobia: Since the majority of the Palestinians are Muslims, there is the universal feeling of Islamophobia, generated by the western nations, in support of Israel.
• Banning of BDS and other anti-Israeli organisations in the US, as it would impact on the economy of Israel, to which billions of Rands are transferred from South Africa, without even the Reserve Bank[43] clearance, required for transfer of funds to other countries.
• Strategic interests: Israel is a strategic ally in the Middle East and has helped the US and other Western countries with intelligence sharing, military cooperation, and counterterrorism efforts. Presently, the ongoing bombing of Gaza by the state of Israel is supported by US bombers and arms, as well as ammunition
• Shared values: Israel and Western countries share many democratic and liberal values, including freedom of speech, the rule of law, and human rights. This is not a counter argument at all since the Islamic states comply with Shariah[44], the basic tenets of the Abrahamic faiths, collectively.
• Holocaust guilt: The atrocities committed against Jews during the Holocaust led to an international consensus that the Jewish people deserved a homeland where they could be safe from persecution.
• Lobbying and influence: Pro-Israel lobbying groups and individuals in the US and other countries have worked to maintain strong ties between Israel and their governments, often through campaign contributions and other forms of political influence.

It’s important to note that not all countries support Israel to the same degree, and there is ongoing debate and controversy surrounding Israel’s policies towards Palestinians and other issues. There are also differing opinions within the Palestinian community and among Muslim leaders regarding how to address the conflict and achieve a just and lasting peace. It is important to engage in respectful dialogue and to seek understanding and empathy for all perspectives, while also advocating for human rights and justice for all people involved in the conflict.

However, there are certainly instances where geopolitical interests, historical tensions, and other factors contribute to conflicts between religious groups. The partition of India in 1947 is one such example, where the British colonial rulers implemented a policy of divide and rule that exacerbated tensions between Hindus and Muslims, ultimately leading to the partition of the country and large-scale violence.

It is necessary to realise that conflict and violence between religious groups can have complex causes and solutions. While some actors may seek to exploit religious differences for their own gain, it is also important to recognize the deep-seated historical, social, and political factors that contribute to tensions between different groups. Addressing these underlying issues and promoting dialogue, respect, and understanding between different religious communities is essential for achieving lasting peace.

Finally, it is important to remember the thesis “Igitur qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum” containing the quote “Si vis pacem, para bellum”, by the Roman general and writer, Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus, who wrote in the late 4^th  or early 5^th  century AD, when the Roman army was degenerating from is former glory of a formidable force.  The phrase can be translated to “If you want peace, prepare for war”.  The author has written a paper on this topic[45] to explain the global belligerence

In addition, the author further proposes that since “Religions” are a major cause of “Peace Disruption”[46], historically and in the present millennium, it must the possible solution to restoring Global Peace and this remedy must be pursued by all nations and all religions, engaging in constructive interfaith dialogue.  However, this is not happening as the author has personally experienced in his long-standing membership of Interfaith Organisations.  In fact these organisation, in South Africa are using the institutes to seed further discord between religions by obfuscating the killings based on religion in Myanmar and Israel, as evidenced by the recent violent ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Palestinians, in the “Killing Fields of Gaza”[47], where heavily-armed Israeli troops in Merkava tanks and US-supplied F16 strike aircraft, fire high-explosive missiles into a civilian population in acts of collective punishment where, to date, over 2000 lives, the majority of which are unarmed civilians, including hundreds of women and children, have been taken.  This is largely obfuscated by the western bloc, the ICC and even the United Nations.

The philosophies of peace icons, such as Rumi[48],Tolstoy[49], Mandela[50] Biko[51], Galtung[52], Tutu[53], Rosa[54] and others who were erroneously awarded the Nobel Peace Prizes[55] such as the selection and awarding to The Prime Minister of Ethiopia[56] and the State Chancellor of Myanmar[57], of the Nobel Peace Awards, by Norway.  Their awards were possibly used in the killings of the Ethiopians in Tigray region and the Rohingyas in Myanmar.

As a sobering thought and an item to reflect, is that the “Children of Wars”[58],[59],[60],[61], bred in conflict zones, will grow up, with an ideology of revenge and inherent aggression, to fight back and unleash a mighty belligerence on the Western Nations, who are ultimately responsible for the majority of the global “Peace Disruptions”. Peace starts with the children[62], where the main momentum of peace education is mandatory to ensure Global Peace.  However, this is not practised by the powers that be.  In defence, the non-west grouping, as in Palestine, China and Russia, is merely fighting back to prevent their submission to the imperialistic philosophies of old, resurging it monstrous head, in the 21^st century.

No oppressive, tyrannical and brutal regimes last forever.  Their end. must inevitably come, as demonstrated repeatedly in history and contemporary times, with ethnic cleansing and genocide, as evidenced in Israel, which the west has consistently denied.
