Cricket is a sport that is generally not very popular in the world. It is a game that England made familiar and slowly it has become fairly well known among former British colonies — India and Sri Lanka and some other nations — Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and a few other non colonial nations such as Afghanistan and Holland etc.
It is a game where 11 players play on each of the two teams. There are three wickets on each side and two players play on one side at one time — the batting side. The other side — known as the bowling side, all the eleven players play together.
he object of the game is to score runs by the batsmen (also called batters) with the bowlers of the ball bowling in such a manner that makes it difficult for the batters to score runs. The batter stands in front of the three wickets (called stumps) and when he receives the ball from the bowler, he hits the ball hard to score runs. Two batters bat at one time — one on each of the two sides where the stumps are placed. There are different ways of bowling out the batter by the bowling side — by displacing the stumps by the ball or by catching the ball that was hit by the batter.
After one side’s batters are bowled out, the other side comes for batting. Ultimately the game is won by the side that scores more runs.
The cricket’s teams keep playing and winning and ultimately two sides remain undefeated on the field. They play the final match to decide who is the champion of the cricket matches.
Today the two sides who will play the final match are Indian and Australian teams. They will play their final match in Gujarat. There is a lot of excitement and even bets are being laid in favour of the Indian or the Australian team.
The India press has stated that even the deputy Prime Minister of Australia will come and watch the match in person. It is also being stated that the Indian Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi will also watch the match for some time and encourage the Indian team to play at their best.
Many Indian people will be seen at the match encouraging the Indian team to play at their best and win the coveted title of cricket.
Let us see how the final match is played. Let the better side win and become the best cricketing team of the World.
