Put People and Planet over Billionaire Profits!

2 Feb 2025 – Trump’s first weeks in office:

* Move toward authoritarianism and oligarchy — a government of, by, and for the billionaire class.

* Threats to block funding for Medicaid, Head Start, community health centers, homeless veterans programs, etc.

* Media intimidation – lawsuits, etc. NPR and PBS targets for investigation and threats of defunding.

* Elon Musk and his team at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) given unprecedented access to citizen data and classified material.

* Anti-environmental orders to “Drill Baby Drill.”

* Trump pardoned 1500 January 6th insurrections including those who injured 174 police officers at the Capitol.

* Planned Tariffs on Canada, Mexico, China, and possibly more.

* Threats to take the Panama Canal, buy Greenland, and make Canada the 51st state.

* Withdrew the US from the Paris Climate Accord.

* Withdrew the US from the World Health Organization.

* Wants to “clean out” Gaza – ethnic cleansing – genocide! Carried out airstrikes on Somalia.

* Abolished DEI-Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion affecting native Hawaiians, tribal, black, and other minority programs. Trump, without any evidence, blames the DC plane crash on DEI policies.

* Immigrants mass deportation, and LGBTQ targeted. GITMO internment camp for 30,000.

* Birthright citizenship revoked.

* Illegal purge of Inspectors General watchdogs across federal agencies.

* Trump’s purge of DOJ and FBI agents involved in the prosecution of the 6 Jan rioters.

More and more and more… likely to come!

The minimum starvation wage of $7.25 an hour must be raised significantly. Affordable housing needs to be built for working people and to end homelessness instead of spending a trillion dollars on the US war machine to profit the arms makers.

“This is not a time for wallowing in despair and hiding under the covers.” – US Sen. Bernie Sanders

Live Aloha!

  • Seek peace by peaceful means through justice in Hawai’i and around the world.
