Good Deeds

Dietrich Fischer – TRANSCEND Media Service
Scouts are supposed to do at least one good deed every day. A scout master asked three little scouts at camp in the evening, “What good deed did you do today?”
The first boy replied, “I helped an old lady cross the street.” “Excellent,” the scout master said. “And what did you do?’ he asked the second boy.”
“I also helped that old lady cross the street.” “Next time, be a little more imaginative, and don’t simply copy your friend,” the scout master said. “And what did you do?’ he asked the third boy.”
“I also helped that old lady cross the street.”
“Why did it take all three of you?” They replied together, “Because she did not want to.”
