Who Knows How Long We Will Live?

Who knows how long we will live?
Do not regret on the days of the past,
Let’s replace for people the word “old age”
On the word “maturity”.
Let there remain hope in them
And beckons them somewhere into the distance,
That they are not young, as before,
But their sadness will not befall them
The fact that everything has already happened,
All the best has already come true.
Yes, perhaps they are not fond in love,
And something somewhere was ridiculous.
But you live, so you breathe,
Your voice is sonorous, young,
And, thank God, you see, you hear,
And your IQ is still with you!
