Psychology is the go-to social science for helping mitigate imbalanced mental capacity and behavior. This paper shows how it is also one of the most colonized science disciplines and explains how it contributes indirectly to or at least does little to prevent calamities. Metacognitive reflection that focuses on re-embracing Indigenous worldview is the best way to challenge the colonial assumptions behind most psychological approaches effectively.
