However, the ultimate objective consists in confiscating the multi-billion-dollar Gaza offshore Natural Gas reserves.

Siegfried Hecker is the last known American official to inspect North Korea’s nuclear facilities. He says that treating Kim Jong-un as though he is on the verge of attacking the U.S. is both inaccurate and dangerous. Trump made his crass “fire and fury” threat on the eve of the sixty second commemoration of the US nuclear attack on Nagasaki, the nauseating irony seemingly un-noticed by him. Only representatives of the ‘White Helmets’ organization close to the Nusra Front who found themselves at the right time in the right place by chance with their video cameras can answer who did this and why. They boasted in a video of being on the scene within “moments.” The “White Helmets”, who have had the gall to entitle themselves the Syrian Civil Defence Force, are neither Syrian, nor Civil, nor Defence.

Talking of insanity, the UN has designated March 20 as International Day of Happiness, a day founded to recognize happiness as a “fundamental human goal.” Tell that to the people of Iraq.

In diametrical opposition to founding aspirations, the UN has appointed Saudi Arabia’s envoy to the United Nations Human Rights Council to head (or should that be “behead”) an influential human rights panel. The appointment was in June, but only came to light on 17th September.

Never mind Israel’s lethal stockpiles, for ever, seemingly, blind eye territory, as apparently is the United States 5,449 metric tons chemical weapons arsenal, which cannot be disposed of until at least 2021 due to the hazards involved. Compared to the might of the countries threatening its destruction, Syria is now, if not quite a sitting duck, certainly a lamer one and must be mindful of the fate of Libya, when pressured and Iraq when forced to disarm.

The IAEA appears to be behaving in as partisan way regarding Iran, as it did with Iraq. Then, accusations were that the inspection teams were more about spying than neutral observation. “The way back to (the UN) was via Tel Aviv”. Consider Kuwait: “Blessed with an abundance of petroleum, it has plans for four nuclear power stations – two to be built in Warba and Bubiyan, the islands source of a century-old conflict – many scholars contend longer – the dispute over which contributed to the disaster of Iraq’s invasion and that country’s subsequent decimation, 2 Aug 1990.
