Gandhi was assassinated on January 30, 1948 but the spirit of his nonviolent experiments with truth live throughout the world in individuals and groups. The writer and peace-activist James Douglass, a guide to such experiments with truth and author of many books on nonviolence and the meaning of political assassinations, recently travelled to Gandhi’s home district in India and delivered the following talk.
